Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: A meeting of the high-level Central Revenue Leakage Control Committee has kicked off at the Finance Ministry today. Finance Minister Dr. The meeting chaired by Swarnim Wagle focused on the issues of making revenue administration efficient and controlling illegal activities.
Home Minister Sudhan Gurung was also present in the meeting that started at 11:00 am. Secretaries of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Revenue Administration are participating in the meeting. Chiefs of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force (APF) are also present to make the role of security agencies effective in controlling revenue leakage.
The meeting has been seriously reviewing the issues of revenue evasion, control of smuggling and import and strict enforcement of existing laws. Finance Minister Dr. Wagle is scheduled to direct the heads of various departments and departments related to revenue administration to address the challenges seen in revenue collection and stop the leakage.
