Kathmandu. Police have arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in the theft of property from a rented room in Kalopul of Metropolitan City-5 in the district.
The arrested have been identified as Upendra Khatri, 23, of Budhanilkantha Municipality-2 and Niraj Sapkota, 26, of Gauriganga Municipality-2, Kailali.
A police team deployed in connection with the theft of gold ornaments and silver ornaments worth Rs 33,000 from the victim’s room on March 19 arrested them along with various stolen goods.
Police also confiscated gold ornaments, silver ornaments, a khukuri, two iron rods, a sword, Rs 2.49 lakh in cash and a scooter used in the theft.
Police said further investigation is underway in this connection.
