Stock market surges 54 points to cross Rs 23.5 billion

Kathmandu. The stock market rose 54.51 points on Sunday. With this increase, the NEPSE index reached at 2931 points. This is the highest number in nearly 8 months. On Thursday, the NEPSE index increased by 64 points. Similarly, the transaction amount has also increased.

The transaction was Rs 21.22 billion in the previous day, which was Rs 23.59 billion today. This is also the highest transaction amount since July 24.

While the value of 183 companies increased, 73 declined, while 8 remained unchanged. Except for trade, all the indices rose. Business Group 0. It fell by 11 percent. The microfinance group was the biggest gainer, rising 4.21 percent.

Banking sector saw a decline of 2.49 per cent, development bank 2.46 per cent, finance 2.13 per cent, hotel and tourism 3.05 per cent, hydropower 0.33 per cent, investment 0.77 per cent, life insurance 2.00 per cent, production and processing 1.93 per cent and non-life insurance 2.72 per cent.

The value of 10 companies rose 10 percent. Among the companies that surged 10 per cent were Reliance Spinning Mills, Corporate Development Bank, Salpa Development Bank, Abhiyan Laghubitta, Solu Hydropower, Bhujung Hydropower, Hotel Forest Inn and Bijaya Laghubitta.

The price of Super Madi Hydropower fell the most by 3.15 percent. Likewise, Kumari Bank, National Hydropower, Shivam Cement, Ngadi Group and Himal Dolakha Hydropower were among the other major trading companies.
