Kathmandu. Nepal Gen-G Front has condemned the mistreatment of its coordinator Rakshya Bam.
Issuing a press release on Friday, the FRONT said that the mistreatment of bombs during the ongoing peaceful demonstration at Maitighar Mandala on Thursday is intolerable for a civilized democratic society.
Gen-G groups have been protesting at Maitighar for some time now, demanding that the report of the commission formed to investigate the incidents of September 23 and 24 be made public.
“It is condemnable that the attack on the agitators is being carried out peacefully at a time when we are raising our voice peacefully realizing the collective responsibility towards the martyrs and the martyrs,” the statement said.
“Coordinator Rakshya Bam has been portrayed as a fearless leader who stood for democratic norms and values without deviating from the very beginning of the movement,” the statement reads. Although disagreement, pain and anger within the movement are natural, the Front has stressed that the state should be the target of the agitation and not the agitators.
It has also warned that if the state has not yet made public the report by hiding the truth, the abuse of one’s own friends will weaken the movement.
The Nepal Gen-G Front has made it clear that its commitment and morale will not be shaken by such obstructions and attacks.
