Home Ministry directs investigation into Xi Jinping’s book burning incident

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed the Nepal Police to investigate into the incidents affecting Nepal-China relations and take action against the guilty.

According to the letter issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that it was aware of the details of the letter and the incident mentioned in the letter has been sent to the guilty for action.

China had drawn the attention of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s book ‘The Governance of China’ to the burning of a book titled ‘The Governance of China’ at the Manmohan Technical Institute in Morang.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had written to the Ministry of Home Affairs along with a diplomatic letter received from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Kathmandu to investigate the incident and take action. The Ministry of Home Affairs has written to the police for necessary action against the same letter.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed the Morang District Administration and Police to investigate the incident and bring the culprits to book.
