Victim’s family demands investigation into Inisha BK’s murder

Kathmandu. The victim’s family has demanded an immediate investigation into the murder of girl Inisha BK and action against the culprits as per the law.

On Monday, Inaisha BK’s brothers Chandra Bahadur BK and Tapendra BK, on behalf of the victim’s family, met with Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal and urged him to bring the culprits to book and provide justice to the victims.

The victims’ families have also demanded that the concerned bodies, civil society, journalists and all stakeholders pay serious attention to ensure justice and build a safe society to prevent such incidents of sexual violence and heinous crimes against women and children to recur.

Receiving the memorandum, Minister Aryal pledged to investigate the incident and bring the culprits to book. Stating that impunity must end in the country, he said the government was committed responsibly to maintain law and order by controlling any kind of criminal incidents and undesirable activities.

On March 7, a 16-year-old girl, Inisha BK, was raped and murdered in the Janajagaran Community Forest near Sahid Park in Birendranagar-4 of Surkhet.
