Kathmandu. More than Rs 31 lakh has been collected in Pathivara (Mukkumlung) in the month of March. The amount was collected from the offerings made by the devotees.
According to the details made public by the Pathivara Area Development Committee, devotees have offered Rs 31.10 million in the month of Falgun. Executive Director of the Committee Prajin Hangbang said the committee employees collect the amount offered by the pilgrims at the temple in the presence of Nepal Police. The collected offerings are safely sealed in packets and brought to the base of the temple premises.
The offerings collected for about a week are then brought to the committee’s office in Fungling, the district headquarters. According to the committee, the office will be counted and deposited in the bank under the supervision of police and CCTV on a daily basis.
According to the data made public today, 18,652 devotees visited the Pathivara Temple in the month of Falgun. Thousands of devotees from across the country and abroad visit Pathibhara throughout the year.
