National Assembly Chair Dahal inspects under-construction Parliament building

Kathmandu. Chairman of the National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal has made an emergency inspection of the under-construction Federal Parliament building.

During the inspection, Chairman Dahal took stock of the condition of the National Assembly, House of Representatives and Multipurpose Halls.

The multipurpose hall is being prepared as the parliament meeting room is not ready after the completion of the election to the House of Representatives. Chairman Dahal also took stock of the progress of the multipurpose hall being constructed for the swearing-in ceremony of the newly-elected members of the House of Representatives.

According to officials at the Ministry of Urban Development, the multipurpose hall will be constructed as a meeting hall by Saturday. They also said that the premises of the building will also be cleaned.

According to them, it will take another 1-2 months to prepare the meeting rooms of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly.

During the monitoring, Chairman Dahal directed the newly-elected members to make all preparations for the swearing-in ceremony followed by the meeting of the House of Representatives.

Stating that there should not be a situation of humiliation of the entire nation due to the mismanagement of the meeting hall, Chairman Dahal urged the government to expedite the activities as it is done day and night.
