Kathmandu. In the first seven months of the current fiscal year 2082/83, Rs 1,261.01 billion has been remitted.
According to the latest economic and financial situation report of the country made public by the Nepal Rastra Bank, the remittance inflow has increased by 39.8 percent in comparison to the same period last year.
According to the data of Nepal Rastra Bank, remittances worth Rs 198.08 billion entered the country in the first month of January last year. In the same month of the previous year, Rs 137.50 billion was remitted.
Likewise, a total of 245,153 people have taken final labour permit and 227,424 have taken re-labour permit for foreign employment in the first seven months of the period. In the same period of the previous year, 274,622 people had taken final work permit and 190,886 took re-work permit.
