Kathmandu. On Wednesday, the NEPSE index decreased by 46.78 points to close at 2,796.57 points. KATHMANDU: The highest number of points on the first trading day opened after the election to the House of Representatives started decreasing on Tuesday.
The NEPSE index decreased by 46.87 points on Tuesday from 32.08 points on Tuesday. Likewise, the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 8.32 points, while the Float Index decreased by 3.24 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 2.94 points.
A total of 3,60,49,000 units of shares of 329 companies were traded on Wednesday. Along with NEPSE, the transaction amount has also decreased. Shares worth Rs 21.5 billion were traded on Tuesday.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 12 sub-groups have decreased while the indices of one sub-group have risen. The indices of the mutual fund sub-group have increased marginally. The trade sub-group decreased by 3.40 percent. Similarly, the index of the finance sub-group decreased by more than 2 percent while the index of other sub-groups decreased by more than 1 percent.
Shares of Salpa Development Bank Ltd traded at a positive circuit level on Wednesday. The bank’s share price rose by 78.40 paise to close at Rs 862.40. Similarly, the share price of National Hydropower has increased by 10 percent and Reliance Spinning Mills has increased by more than 9 percent.
On the basis of transaction amount, shares worth Rs 85.94 crore of Reedy Hydropower Company were traded. Similarly, shares worth more than Rs 510 million were traded in Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company.
