Kathmandu. Police have arrested Bikash Bista, 35, of Gauradaha municipality-5, Jhapa with 2 grams of brown sugar from Gurung Guest House at Machhapokhari Chowk of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16 on Tuesday night.
A team of police from Police Circle, Balaju found the contraband during a search of room number 311 of the guest house. Police have arrested 24-year-old Ranjan Subba of Kalijhoda of Mechinagar Municipality-6 in Jhapa district on Tuesday afternoon.
A police team deputed from the Narcotics Control Bureau Office, Kakarbhitta arrested him while he was coming to Nepal on foot from India. Similarly, police have arrested two persons in possession of 840 milligrams of brown heroin from Barhadashi rural municipality-6 in Jhapa district on Tuesday afternoon. The arrestees have been identified as Basanta Neupane (21) of Garamani in Birtamod Municipality-8 and Rahul Luitel (25) of Syaldangi.
A team of police deployed from Area Police Office, Anar Mani and Narcotics Control Bureau branch office, Kakarbhitta arrested them with the drugs. The police have also arrested 2 people for further investigation.
Police have arrested Arman Ali, 27, of Siddharthanagar Municipality-8 in Rupandehi district with 3 kilogrammes of cannabis. A team of police from the District Police Office, Rupandehi and Narcotics Control Bureau Branch Office Bhairahawa seized the marijuana during a search of his room.
SUNSARI: Police have arrested four persons in possession of banned drugs Tram Dole 240 tablets and Dico Like 235 tablets from Panbari of Dharan Sub-metropolis-6 on Tuesday evening. The arrestees have been identified as 27-year-old Yubaraj Limbu, 20-year-old Utsab BK, 26-year-old Saugat Katuwal and 26-year-old Rupesh Rai of the same sub-metropolis. A police team deployed from Panbari Police Post arrested them with the drugs.
KANCHANPUR: Police have arrested two persons in possession of 650 milligrams of heroin from Punarbas municipality-6 in Kanchanpur district on Tuesday. The arrestees have been identified as Harka Bahadur Khadka, 43, of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-2, Kailali and Mina Raji, 30, of Janaki Rural Municipality-97.
A police team from the Area Police Office, Tribhuvan Basti arrested them with the goods they were riding on a motorcycle (Se 6 Pa 6994) en route to Nepal from India. Police said further investigation is underway in this connection.
