Kathmandu. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Narayan Shrestha at the Special Court.
According to the CIAA, Shrestha, who works at the communications section of the District Police Office, Sunsari, had submitted the fake mark sheet and migration certificate said in 1999 issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, India, for promotion to the post of assistant subsidiary.
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Tuesday filed a charge sheet against him demanding imprisonment and fine as per Section 16 (1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059 after it was confirmed that he had received salary, allowances and other facilities from the Government of Nepal by being promoted on the basis of fake certificates.
