“We are not dead, we have only fallen”: Yogesh Bhattarai

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai has said that the party is not dead but only falling.

Deputy General Secretary Bhattarai wrote a long status on social media on Monday, stating that not only the policies adopted by the party but also the hierarchical committees and leaders should take part in the CPN-UML’s position.

Bhattarai said, “The central committee and the central secretariat which are in the policy and executive role should bear the burden of failure.” How will the accountability be implemented after success or failure?” he said, adding that serious discussion should be held in the party by rising above the prejudice, emotion and conspiracy theory.

Bhattarai has written in seven points, “Comrades, we have only fallen, not died. We will rise with the right policy, right organisation, right leadership, right behaviour and working style and will once again raise the self-respect of the party, the people and the nation. ’

Bhattarai also appealed to the CPN-UML people to protect the party unity with restraint and patience and to move on the right path and not self-criticism.
