RSP wins in 27 constituencies, leading in 90 constituencies

Kathmandu. The Rastriya Swatantra Party has won 27 constituencies so far in the ongoing election to the House of Representatives. As per the results of 10:15 am, the candidates of the Rastriya Samajwadi Party are leading in 90 constituencies.

According to the EC, Santosh Rajbanshi in Morang-4, Rubina Acharya in Morang-6, Manish Jha in Dhanusha-3, Pramod Kumar Mahato in Mahottari-1, Arvind Sah in Bara-3, Buddhi Prasad Panta in Parsa-1, Ranju Neupane in Kathmandu-1, Sunil KC in Kathmandu-2, Rajunath Pandey in Kathmandu-3, Pukar Bam in Kathmandu-4, Sasmit Pokharel in Kathmandu-5, Shishir Khanal in Kathmandu-6, Ganesh Parajuli in Kathmandu-7. Likewise, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has been elected from Kathmandu-8, Dol Prasad Aryal from Kathmandu-9, Pradip Bista from Kathmandu-10 and Rukesh Ranjit from Bhaktapur-1.

Likewise, Rabi Lamichhane of Chitwan constituency-2, Uttam Prasad Poudel of Kaski constituency-2, Beena Gurung of Kaski constituency-3, Dhananjay Regmi of Syangja-1, Sagar Bhusal of Parbat-1, Sulav Kharel in Rupandehi-2, Dr Lekhjung Thapa in Rupandehi-3, Kanhaiya Baniya in Rupandehi-4, Suresh Kumar Chaudhary in Banke-1, Khagendra Sunar in Banke-3 and Komal Gyawali in Kailali-1.

According to the commission, the results have been published in 34 places so far. Out of the total 165 electoral constituencies under first-past-the-post election system, vote counting is taking place in 161 electoral constituencies so far.

The Nepali Congress has won in four constituencies. Santosh Subba has been elected to the post of Chairperson of Terhathum Constituency-1, Tek Bahadur Gurung of NC in Manang-1, Yogesh Gauchan Thakali of Mustang-1 and Basana Thapa of Dailekh-1. The Nepali Congress is leading in 10 seats.

CPN (Maoist Centre) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal has been elected from Rukum East constituency-1. NCP candidates are leading in 11 constituencies in the ongoing vote counting. CPN-UML’s Mohammad Ishtiyak Rai has won from Banke constituency-1. UML candidates are leading in 10 constituencies.

Independent candidate Mahabir Pun has been elected from Myagdi constituency-1. He was supported by the Rastriya Swatantra Party. The candidates of the Labour and Culture Party are leading in five places while the candidates of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party are leading in one place.
