Balen Shah leads in Jhapa-5

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Balen Shah has garnered 32,336 votes in Jhapa constituency-5.

In the 51,698 votes counted, he got almost three times more votes than his nearest competitor.

His nearest rival was CPN-UML candidate who got 8,518 votes. The difference between Shah and Oli has reached more than 23,000.

Sameer Tamang of the Labour and Culture Party got the third vote in Jhapa-5. He garnered 5,478 votes while NC’s Mandhara Chimaria got 930 votes.

CPN’s Ranjit Tamang got 8,831 votes. There are 24 candidates in Jhapa constituency-5.
