Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist Centre) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal has won the election in Rukum (East). Prachanda is leading with 8,747 votes.
His nearest rival was CPN-UML’s Leela Mani Gautam who secured 3,017 votes. The difference between them is 5,729. Now only 3,365 votes are left to be counted.
A total of 19,188 votes were cast in the House of Representatives elections held on Tuesday. So far, 15,823 votes have been counted.
Nepali Congress candidate Kusum Devi Thapa is third with 2,477 votes and Rastriya Janata Party’s Lakhan Kumar Thapa is in the third position with 712 votes.
