Kathmandu. There has been a dispute in Dhanusha-1. The counting of votes has not yet begun due to the dispute.

There has been a dispute over the votes cast in the RSP. After the dispute, it has been decided to wait for the Election Commission’s directive.

The Election Commission on March 3 had rejected the candidacy of RSP candidate for Dhanusha-1 Kishori Sah Kamal. Sah has filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court.

However, the Office of the Chief Election Officer has sought suggestions from the EC on whether to count the votes listed in the bell symbol as valid or invalid as Sah’s candidacy has been annulled.

Chief Election Officer of Constituency No. 1, Manoj Baral, said that a letter was written to the Election Commission on Friday night seeking direction regarding the votes.

“The nomination of the RSP candidate has been rejected. But there is a stamp on the ballot. “We have written a letter to the EC regarding what to do with the swastika symbol on that seal,” he said, “We will get some decision on the letter by 10 am today after which we will proceed with the counting of votes.” ’
