Kathmandu. In the House of Representatives election in Chitwan-3, Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) candidate Sobita Gautam is leading in the by-election. Gautam had taken an early lead in the vote counting that began last night.
She has garnered 2,485 votes in the count of votes so far and is trailing behind her nearest rival Renu Daha of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP). Dahal received 1,786 votes.
CPN-UML’s Shankar Thapaliya is in the third position. He secured 535 votes while NC’s Tek Prasad Gurung came out fourth with 276 votes.
