Kathmandu. The candidates of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) are leading in most of the constituencies while the candidates of Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) are leading in some constituencies.
Similarly, Sobita Gautam of Rastriya Janata Party (RSP) is leading in Chitwan-3 with 925 votes. He is trailing NCP’s Renu Dahal with 679 votes. CPN-UML’s Shankar Raj Thapaliya got 202 votes, NC’s Tek Prasad Gurung got 129 votes and Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Deepak Thapa Magar got 22 votes.
In Rupandehi-3, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RSP) has taken a lead in the preliminary count. Here’s Dr. Lekhjung Thapa is in the first position with 1,377 votes. NC’s Sushil Gurung got 249 votes, Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Gaurav Bohara got 248 votes and UML’s Basudev Ghimire got 192 votes.
Nepali Congress candidate Udaya Shumsher Rana is leading in Lalitpur-1 with 522 votes. He is trailing CPN-UML’s Chetnath Sanjel with 269 votes. Similarly, Buddha Ratna Maharjan of Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) has garnered 122 votes while other candidates have received less votes.
Kathmandu-3 has changed its early lead. Raju Pandey of Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) has defeated Kulman Ghising of Ujyalo Nepal Party. Pandey garnered 2,960 votes while Ghising garnered 2,706 votes. NC’s Ramesh Aryal and CPN-UML’s Rameshwor Phuyal are trailing with 583 and 456 votes respectively.
In Rupandehi-2, Sulav Kharel of Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) has defeated CPN-UML vice-chair and former finance minister Bishnu Poudel by a huge margin. Kharel got 4,074 votes while Poudel got 845 votes. Nepali Congress candidate Chunna Prasad Sharma is in the third position with 504 votes.
Similarly, in Kaski-3, Bina Gurung of Rastriya Janata Party (RSP) is leading with 482 votes. CPN-UML’s Damodar Poudel ‘Bairagi’ is in the third position with 119 votes.
In Kaski-1, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RSP)’s Khadka Raj Poudel (Ganesh Poudel) is leading with 866 votes. He is trailing NC’s Tilak Bahadur Ranabhat with 475 votes while UML’s Bain Bahadur Chhetri got 307 votes.
In Chitwan-2, CPN-UML’s Ashmin Ghimire is leading with 325 votes. Rabi Lamichhane, the chairperson of the Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP), got 211 votes. NC’s Meena Kharel got 145 votes and NCP’s Pratap Gurung got 161 votes.
Similarly, Sunil KC of Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) is leading in Kathmandu-2 with 424 votes. CPN-UML’s Maniram Phuyal got 236 votes and NC’s Kabir Sharma got 189 votes.
According to the Election Commission, the counting of votes is underway in various parts of the country and the preliminary results are being announced gradually. The commission said it will take more time to get the final results.
