Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — Security personnel have impounded vehicles plying without permission in Kathmandu Valley on the day of the House of Representatives election.
As many as 900 vehicles have been impounded from different parts of the Kathmandu Valley for plying without EC permit, police said.
Superintendent of Police at the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Naresh Raj Subedi, said that the police have impounded the vehicles driving without permission. According to him, most of the vehicles were impounded while they were operating in the core area.
According to the police, vehicles except essential services have been banned on the day of the election. Police said necessary action has been initiated against motorbikes, scooters and other vehicles operating in violation of the rule.
