Kathmandu. A case has been filed against those who fled after looting ballot paper carts from the Malu polling centre in Tamakoshi Rural Municipality-4 of Dolakha district. A case has been filed against Nepali Congress ward member Yagya Bahadur Shrestha, Tamakoshi Rural Municipality Tarun Dal Chairman Anil Shrestha and NCP leader Arjun Yogi for their alleged involvement in capturing the booth.
Although three people have been charged, four others in custody will be released after questioning.
However, the Nepali Congress and the CPN have demanded the release of all of them unconditionally. Likewise, the returning officer has decided to recommend to the District Election Office to fix another date for the postponed voting. The police had fired in the air after the CPN-UML and the Rastriya Samajwadi Party protested when the Nepali Congress and NCP tried to capture the booth.
