According to the data released by the District Administration Office, Jhapa, 45 per cent voter turnout was recorded till 1 pm.
A total of 292,858 people have so far cast their votes, said Chief District Officer of Jhapa, Shivaram Gelal.
Enthusiastic turnout of voters in Jhapa has turned up at the polling centre. There are a total of 713,537 voters in Jhapa. Voting is taking place at 285 polling stations and 815 polling centres in the district.
