Kathmandu. Locals of Manebhanjyang Rural Municipality-7 in Okhaldhunga boycotted the election. According to Chief District Officer Mekh Bahadur Mangranti, no voter cast his vote till 10:00 am. According to him, no voter took part in the voting at the centre located at the Shahid Memorial Basic School in Manebhanjyang-7.
A total of 701 voters cast their votes at the polling station. “No voter has reached out so far. No one has cast their votes,” said CDO Mangranti.
According to him, the locals were angry saying that the demand for the construction of the provincial hospital had not been addressed.
They boycotted the voting, saying that their demands should be fulfilled or else they would not ask for votes.
