Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist) General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand Biplav, who had boycotted the elections in the past, cast his vote from Rolpa after a gap of 18 years.
This time, his party voted after participating in the election.
Biplav cast his vote at the ‘A’ centre of Thunikot Bal Shiksha Secondary School in Pariwartan Rural Municipality-3.
He had reached his birthplace Eribang on Wednesday to cast his vote. Lately, he has been living in Kapilvastu and had come to Rolpa even during election campaigning. He also wanted to contest the election from Rolpa. He has said that he is not a candidate in the election as the party leadership has adopted a policy of not participating in the election.
He said he had voted for the first time in 18 years. His party’s politburo member Chudamani Oli is contesting from Rolpa-1.
