Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — The Ministry of Home Affairs has said that all preparations for the election to the House of Representatives scheduled for March 4 have been completed.
The Ministry held a virtual meeting with Chief District Officers of all 77 districts this morning and all managerial works including election security have been completed.
A virtual meeting of Chief District Officers of all 77 districts presided over by Home Secretary Raj Kumar Shrestha took stock of election preparedness and security management in all 77 districts.
The meeting that lasted for around three hours at the Home Ministry focused on the issues related to election preparations and security arrangements, said Joint Spokesperson at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Rama Acharya.
During the meeting, Chief District Officers of all districts informed that all preparations for the election have been completed and the security situation is normal.
The meeting discussed the preparations for the election in the districts, the existing situation and the coordination required by the center. An understanding has been reached to formulate future strategy after reviewing the state of law and order, alertness to be adopted on the election day and security sensitivity.
Home Secretary Shrestha also directed the Chief District Officers to strengthen the election security and make it effective. During the meeting, Chief District Officers of all districts said that all employees’ security mechanisms and election materials have reached the polling stations.
