34 inmates to cast their votes in Sarlahi

Kathmandu. As many as 34 inmates will be eligible to cast their votes in the election to the House of Representatives in Sarlahi district.

As many as 34 inmates serving their sentence at the Malangawa Prison will be eligible to cast their votes in the election scheduled for Thursday.

The Election Commission has made provision for the Nepal Army, security personnel, employees and prisoners to cast their votes under the proportional representation system.

As per the provision, temporary polling stations have been set up at four places including the Sarlahi Prison Office, Malangawa.

Prison Office, Malangawa, District Coordination Committee, Malangawa’s 3bighe ground, Armed Police Force Nepal’s No. 10 Chief of the District Election Office, Sarlahi, and District Election Officer Rishiram Poudel said that temporary voting centres have been set up at Golghar and Panchkumari Sports Ground.

According to District Election Officer Poudel, there are 6,087 voters including 34 inmates and inmates, including employees, army and police.

According to the District Election Office, Sarlahi, only three people including one polling officer, one assistant polling officer and one assistant staff will be mobilized at the temporary polling station.
