National identity card or passport to be valid in voting

Kathmandu. The Election Commission has stated that the voters should take their voter identity card or Nepali citizenship certificate to the polling centre to cast their vote in the election to the House of Representatives.

According to the EC, the national identity card, passport, land ownership certificate and driving license will also be valid for the election scheduled for March 4.

Voters who have completed 18 years of age as on March 3 will be eligible to cast their votes at the designated polling stations.
