Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Khushbu Oli has said that the March 4 election was not just a contest to decide which party would win the elections but also a litmus test to save the country.
Addressing an election assembly in Pokhara of Kaski on Sunday, leader Oli argued that the voters should change their vote by standing on the nationalist side to save the country’s existence and self-respect.
Oli, who is also the proportional representation candidate of RPP, claimed that the present system and republic have made the country the poorest country in South Asia.
He said that after the movement of 2062/63 BS, about one hundred thousand industries were closed in the country and the republic opened only one industry selling the labor of youths. She claimed that only the leaders and their people have enjoyed themselves in the name of republic but the common people have always suffered.
Oli called the leaders of other political parties who visit temples to ask for votes only during elections and wear sandalwood on their foreheads as ‘disguised Ravana’. He alleged that secularist leaders are now pretending to be Hindutva just to win elections, just like Ravana wore saffron clothes during Sita abduction. He claimed that Sanatan Hindu Rashtra was imperative to uphold justice, integrity and honesty in the country in the present situation.
She stressed the need to return the monarchy as a guardian to protect the country’s honour and self-respect. Recalling that Nepal’s passport and diplomatic honour of the King was higher than that of the incumbent President at the international level when the monarchy was established in the past, she claimed that the people look for the King rather than the current leader during crisis. He argued that Sanatani leadership was necessary to solve the problems of the present political failures and the victims of cooperatives.
