Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party’s candidate from Chitwan constituency-3, Sobita Gautam, has said that the March 4 election is an opportunity to end one era and enter another political era.
Addressing the ‘We have come, change announcement meeting’ in Chitwan on Friday, she said that good governance cannot be achieved when there is corruption and corrupt politicians must come to an end for good governance.
“The March 4 election is an election to end one political era and enter the next one. It is also an opportunity to end the society that has been indulging in corruption so far and build a society with good governance. Light and darkness cannot stand together. Good governance cannot be achieved if corruption continues. Therefore, if we want good governance, such corrupt politicians must be put to an end. ’
Likewise, she said that the country could get a direction if the general public could elect a good leadership by utilizing their votes at the right place through the election.
“Elections are a beautiful exercise in authoritarianism. If the common people use their votes in the right place and elect a good leader, then the country can get a direction from this election. If the vote is not properly utilized, then the country will have to bear the brunt of it. Needless to say, what condition the last elections have put the Nepali people in,” she said.
