Kathmandu. The District Administration Office, Kathmandu has set a deadline for the operation of night business in view of the election to the members of the House of Representatives. The administration has ordered the closure of all businesses after 9 pm effective from March 3.
According to a notice issued by the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, the decision has been taken keeping in mind the security sensitivity of the election to the member of the House of Representatives scheduled for March 4. All night time businesses including hotels, restaurants and others operating in Kathmandu district will be allowed to operate only till 9 pm until further notice.
The notice signed by Assistant Chief District Officer Mukti Ram Rijal, who is also the spokesperson of the District Administration Office, reads, “All the night activities operating in the Kathmandu district in view of the election security will be allowed to operate only till 9:00 pm from March 2 until further notice.” This rule will have to be followed compulsorily from March 1.
