2.21 lakh employees to be deployed for voting

Kathmandu. A total of 221,000 employees are to be deployed across the country for the election to the House of Representatives scheduled for March 4. The same number of employees will be mobilized at 23,112 polling centres in 165 constituencies across 77 districts and 143 temporary centres which allow for voting under the proportional representation system.

According to Assistant Spokesperson of the Election CommissionTAG_CLOSE_span_3, Prakash Neupane, nine employees will be deployed in polling centers with more than 500 voters and eight employees will be deployed in polling centers having less than 500 voters.

Necessary training has been imparted to the polling officers and assistant polling officers deputed at the polling centers while preparations are underway to impart training to other employees deputed at the polling stations through the returning officers, the EC said.TAG_OPEN_p_5

According to the Election Commission, the election materials and ballot papers required for the election have been transported to all the 165 electoral constituencies across the country on Thursday.TAG_OPEN_p_4
