Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Police have rescued a man who was held captive in a hotel in Teku, Kathmandu.
Police said they have arrested three people on suspicion of kidnapping and taking them hostage. A special police team deputed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku rescued the victim from the ‘Roadline Palace Hotel’ at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-12, Teku.
Police had received a special tip-off that Purna Bahadur Bohara was beaten and injured in room no 105 of the hotel owned by Shiva Bahadur Gharti. Based on the information, a team mobilized rescued Bohara safely. Police have arrested three persons in connection with the incident. The arrested have been identified as Dhanraj Basnet, Phapendra Neupane and Shiva Bahadur Gharti.
The arrestees have been sent to the District Police Range, Kathmandu for further investigation and necessary action, according to the Crime Investigation Office.
