Kathmandu. The construction of the Naubise-Nagdhunga road in Dhading district has reached the final stage.

According to the project officials, 85 per cent of the construction work has been completed so far.

According to Naubise-Nagdhunga Road Project Chief Keshav Prasad Ojha, Rs 12,000 crore has been allocated for the first package under the Naubise-Nagdhunga road section. A 5-kilometer road and two bridges were to be constructed. Accordingly, the project has completed a lot of work. The project has to blacktop the third layer and construct overhead bridges over Khanikhola within 35 days.

According to the project, works related to road safety standards and painting will begin after the final phase of blacktopping is completed. According to the project, the works might be affected due to the election to the House of Representatives on March 4 and the Holi festival before that.

The construction of the overhead bridge has been delayed for some time due to the dispute over the hut in the Khanikhola area. The project has claimed that the construction of the overhead bridge will be completed within 35 days. Since the road construction is a related issue related to the locals, problems have been surfaced in the construction of the road as the society is divided on the same issue.

The project believes that the construction of the bridge will gain momentum as most of the locals have been shifted to the site. Managing Director of Sagoon Construction, Shahdev Khadka, said that the construction will be delayed for some time due to the election. Earlier, the construction work was also affected due to electric bridges on the road. The project was started in 2079 BS and was targeted to be completed within three years
