Kathmandu. On the seventh day of the 15-day Mithila Madhyamiki Parikrama, the pilgrims played Holi with the locals and saints in Kanchanban of Mahottari today. During the Ramayana era, Rama and Sita had played Holi in Kanchanban when they were out to visit different places after marriage. In remembrance of the same, it is customary to celebrate Holi every year on this day in Kanchanban. In the Mithilanchal region, Holi begins from today.
