Those involved in anti-election activities to be brought to book

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Home Affairs has said that those involved in anti-election activities and affecting peace and order will be brought to book.

The meeting held under the chairmanship of Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal with Home Secretary Raj Kumar Shrestha and chiefs of security bodies took the issue of peace and security, election and contemporary challenges.

The Home Ministry has said its serious attention has been drawn towards the incidents of anti-election activities carried out in different districts, slander against political parties and individuals in the election publicity, burning tyres, taking out torch rallies, arson and vandalism on public and private property and other violent activities affecting peace and order and environment.

The ministry has made it clear that anyone involved in activities prohibited by the law will be brought to book.
