Indefinite curfew in Birgunj Metropolitan City of Parsa

Kathmandu. The District Administration Office, Parsa, has imposed curfew in Birgunj Metropolitan City.

A clash broke out between a group of youths on Sunday evening. The curfew has been imposed from 9:45 am today till further orders in view of the latest security situation following the clash.

According to Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal, curfew has been imposed in the east on the bypass road, Sirsiya river in the west, Gandak Chowk in the north and Shankaracharya Gate in the south.

No one has been allowed to come and go inside these forts, any kind of gathering, procession, demonstration, assembly, meeting and gherao are prohibited.

However, emergency vehicles, media persons, university examinees, employees deputed at examination centers, tourist vehicles and vehicles of human rights and diplomatic missions have also been allowed to ply.

According to the District Administration Office, Parsa, the security personnel will also facilitate the movement of air passengers on the basis of air tickets.
