Kathmandu. Cardamom worth Rs 8.61 billion was exported in the first seven months of 2018-19. According to the data released by the Department of Customs, as of mid-February of the current fiscal year 2082-83, 4,153 people worth Rs 8.61 billion were registered. Similarly, 15 metric tonnes of cardamom was exported.
In the same period of the previous year, Rs 8.39 billion was Rs 3,028. According to the department’s data, 49 metric tons were exported.
According to the department’s data, both the export price and quantity of cardamom have increased. The total value of cardamom exported in the current fiscal year has increased by Rs 3.21 billion compared to the previous year. Similarly, the export volume was 1124. It has increased by 66 metric tons.
