Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and Co-Coordinator of Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has expressed concern over the recent incident that took place at Sapgada of Gaur municipality-6 in Rautahat district.

Issuing a message today, Joint Convenor Nepal urged both the Hindu and Muslim communities to exercise restraint to end the dispute between the Hindu and Muslim communities.

Both communities should work together for cooperation and cooperation by embracing religious tolerance and respecting each other’s religion, culture and festivals, he said, adding that communal violence would not be acceptable under any circumstances.

Stating that both Hindus and Muslims are complementary to each other, he urged the government to ensure security of the local people and save their lives. Nepal, who has been representing his home district Rautahat in the Federal Parliament for long, appealed to both communities to exercise restraint in view of the fact that the solution to the problem seen now was possible only through mutual dialogue.

Nepal, who is a candidate for the House of Representatives election from Rautahat-1, said he was holding discussions with the Home Minister at the centre to normalize the situation of curfew enforced by the district administration in the wake of increasing incidents of vandalism, arson and stone pelting. A prohibitory order has been imposed in Gaur district three days ago after a dispute between two communities escalated into communal riots.
