Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said people are ready to do anything for the protection and respect of the national flag. Chairman Oli said that burning of national flags is not a normal issue.
Addressing the gathering of party cadres at Bhadrapur of Jhapa on Sunday, PM Oli said the flag was the centre of ideals. Stating that no one can burn anyone’s faith and belief, he said that the RSP has committed criminal acts.
Stating that the flag with the sun is the symbol of the CPN-UML’s movement, he questioned who has the right to commit crime against the reflection of the movement. “Such an outrageous act is unacceptable,” he said. ’
He said that the RSP started undesirable activities from Damak on the day of its nomination. Oli claimed that the RSP did not win the election. The RSP has made its indecency clear by burning the flag. He clarified that the incident of burning the flag in Dang has put the RSP on the verge of disrupting the election.
Chairman Oli welcomed hundreds of Genji to the UML at a cadres gathering in Jhapa Constituency No. 3. Chairman of National Youth Association Bhadrapur, Dipak Budhathoki, said that the enthusiastic entry of Jenji into the CPN-UML has added to the excitement.
