PM Oli’s call on Democracy Day to protect democratic values by remembering martyrs’

Kathmandu. On the occasion of the Democracy Day, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has called on all to be alert to protect democratic norms and national dignity. Issuing a message of best wishes through the social media on Thursday, Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN-UML) Oli said that the Democracy Day is a historic day when the dawn of freedom and rights has emerged with the end of the Rana oligarchy through the courage, sacrifice and sacrifice of the people.

He also paid tributes to martyrs Shukraraj Shastri, Dasharath Chand, Dharma Bhakta Mathema and Ganga Lal Shrestha who sacrificed their lives for the establishment of democracy. In his message, Chairman Oli said that the Democracy Day would remind us of three important responsibilities. According to him, the need of the hour is to protect the national independence, protect the dignity of the nation, keep the democratic rights and values alive while protecting the constitution, and pay attention to civil security by reconstructing the heritage, culture, industry and infrastructures affected by the destruction.

“This day reminds us of three important responsibilities: first, to safeguard national independence and protect the nation’s dignity. Third, protect the citizens by reconstructing our rich human culture, industries and infrastructures, the heritage of nations ravaged by mass destruction,” reads the message. Taking inspiration from the historic day, he called on all citizens to move ahead with awareness, he wished all Nepalis on the occasion of the Democracy Day.
