Nepali Congress unveils election affidavit from Madhes

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress (NC) is going to make public the party’s manifesto in Janakpur today. Nepali Congress Madhes Province Committee is scheduled to unveil the pledge meeting to be held in Janakpurdham on Tuesday.

Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa, Vice-President Bishwa Prakash Sharma and other central leaders are scheduled to address the meeting. The Nepali Congress has taken this Pratigya Sabha to be held in the holy land of Madhes, the historical and cultural city of Janakpurdham not only as a political program but also as a historic opportunity to give the message of self-respect, inclusive democracy and national unity of Madhes.

The NC leaders have said that the soil of Madhes has always raised strong voice in favour of democracy, inclusion and federal democratic republic.

Nepali Congress Madhes Province President Krishna Prasad Yadav has said that the Nepali Congress has adopted the issues of identity, rights, proportional inclusion and empowerment of the people of Madhes as its main agenda in the political journey after the Madhes movement.

“Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has been directly connected with the people of Madhes by contesting from Sarlahi constituency-4 of Madhes. This is not only an election strategy but also a message to strengthen the relations between Madhes and national politics. ’

Yadav said the NC would move ahead with a clear action plan to ensure the prosperity of Madhes, modernization of agriculture, expansion of industry and trade, systematic development of border areas, employment of youths, empowerment of women and social justice.

More than 1 lakh voters from all the constituencies of Madhes are expected to participate in the meeting, he said.

Information about the pledge letter made public from Janakpur will be made public through a press conference in Kathmandu as well.

NC Spokesperson Devraj Chalise will inform about the promise letter at the party’s central office in Sanepa at 4:00 pm today.
