Araniko Transport stops vehicles plying from Manthali citing insecurity

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Araniko Yatayat Sewa Pvt Ltd has suspended all its Q bus services on the Manthali route of Ramechhap via Khurkot of Kathmandu for an indefinite period.

Due to the security risk, Nepal Araniko Yatayat has suspended the bus service from Kathmandu to the route for an indefinite period. Issuing a notice on Friday, the company said that the queues have been suspended for the time being until further notice due to the accident that occurred at Manthali Municipality-6 in Ramechhap.

At least 12 people were killed and seven others injured when a bus met with an accident at Manthali of Ramechhap district on Tuesday. Three people are still missing in the accident. The company, which did not even hold discussions with the victims, said that the bus service has been suspended citing security reasons.

According to the notice issued by the company, “Nepal Araniko Transportation Services Pvt. Ltd. All Q buses operating via Kathmandu via Khurkot (Ramechhap-Manthali Municipality-6) have been suspended for the time being until further notice due to the accident. ’
