Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three persons on the charge of cheating people on the charge of sending them to different countries on the pretext of lucrative salary.
The arrestees have been identified as 41-year-old Jatadhar Raut of Samsi Rural Municipality-1 of Mahottari, Thamraj Nepali Pariyar, 41, of Thulung Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality-3 of Solukhumbu and Ram Kumar Rai, 39, of Mahalaxmi Municipality-1, Lalitpur.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Jatadhar went missing after taking Rs 8 million from five people on the pretext of sending him to the UK and Romania, while Thamraj and Ram Kumar took Rs 2.80 lakh from one person on the pretext of sending him to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Superintendent of Police Rameshwor Karki said that they were arrested from different places of Kathmandu Valley and sent to the Department of Foreign Employment Tahachal for further investigation and action.
