Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the country was saved from a big political crisis due to facilitation made by him and Madhav Nepal immediately after the Gen-G movement.
During a public interaction with party cadres at Burtibang of Baglung, Prachanda said that they had facilitated the transition as the interim government and elections were seen as an alternative at that time.
According to Prachanda, although superficially the Gen-G movement was seen to be burning and looting, but internally, a “mission” was launched to make Nepal like Ukraine by scrapping the constitution and forming a puppet government. “At that time, interim government and elections were seen as the only options for a solution,” he said. Madhav Nepal and I facilitated. If we had not had the conscience, we would have been burnt and robbed. We saw it with our naked eyes. The mission was to abolish the constitution, abolish the institution of the presidency and create a puppet government to make it like Ukraine. We facilitated it to avoid it. ”
Prachanda said that although the President has been successful in saving the constitution and the institution of the President, some have been injured. He said that in the beginning there was doubt whether the country would go to the elections or not, but now the whole country and people are focused on the elections.
“Some were talking about all-party government or reinstatement of parliament. We are the only ones who have the option to go to the people. Today, we are happy that all the political parties and the general public are ready for the elections. ”
