. KATHMANDU: The Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumer Protection is to carry out necessary coordination and regulation to make the supply management effective in order to resolve the problem seen in the supply of cooking gas.
The Department has directed the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) and big gas production companies to increase the supply and production.TAG_OPEN_p_3 Gas bottling industries in the Kathmandu Valley have been asked to ensure production and distribution as per the demand of consumers.
} Also, dealers, retailers and suppliers have been urged to coordinate distribution without unnecessary hoarding and to help consumers buy the quantities they need. The department will also continue to monitor and analyze the supply chain.
