. Police have arrested four persons on the charge of attacking an Armed Police Force (APF) security personnel who had gone to raid an illegal warehouse in Birgunj.
A joint team of Birgunj Customs Office and Armed Police Force (APF) raided an illegal warehouse at Adarshnagar of Birgunj Metropolitan City on Monday.TAG_OPEN_p_7 Three APF personnel were injured and two vehicles were damaged in the attack.
Spokesperson of Parsa Police and Deputy Superintendent of Police Hari Bahadur Basnet said that four persons involved in the attack have been arrested till Monday night.TAG_OPEN_p_6 Investigations are underway on the basis of CCTV footage to identify other people involved in the incident, he added.
“The names of those arrested will be made public later as the investigation is ongoing,” Basnet said.TAG_OPEN_p_5
The clash broke out during the seizure of illegally stored clothes from the house of Madan Prasad Gupta in Adarshanagar on suspicion of evading customs duty.TAG_OPEN_p_4 The Armed Police Force (APF) has confiscated goods worth Rs 12.50 lakh from the area.
