Gagan Thapa’s election slogan: ‘Abki Baar, Sau Paar’

. KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Thapa has directed the party cadres to work in the election campaign making ‘Abki Bar, Hundred Paar’ the party’s election slogan. Addressing a program organized in Pokhara, he urged the party cadres to reach every household not only after the views and likes of social media.

Stating that the Nepali Congress was the only party in the country to contest the elections in all the 165 constituencies, Thapa claimed that the strength of the organization could garner a clear majority.TAG_OPEN_p_9 “It is not acceptable for NC cadres to cast their vote anywhere other than the tree symbol. Now, we should move ahead with the slogan of ‘this government’, not ‘this government’. ”

Stating that the Nepali Congress is a party with 10 lakh active members, Thapa said that the leaders and cadres who left the party in the past due to various reasons should be welcomed openly.TAG_OPEN_p_8 He called on those who left the party due to dissatisfaction to return and claimed that efforts were being made to address their grievances.

Thapa recalled that the NC got more than 27 lakh votes under the proportional representation system in the last election despite dissatisfaction within the party.TAG_OPEN_p_7 He urged the party cadres not to be afraid of rumours and trust in the strength of the organisation.

Clarifying that we should be active on social media but not limited to it, Thapa said, “Our real strength is the ability to reach every household.TAG_OPEN_p_6 We should go from village to village and talk to the voters. ”

} He stressed the need to change the election campaign style and urged them to meet each voter directly and listen to them and put forth their views. “Not a single house, not a single voter should be left out,” Thapa said, adding, “NC has the power to face it, not to run away from abuses and questions.” ”
