NEPSE surges 27 points to cross Rs 11 billion

Kathmandu. The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index posted a double-digit fall on Thursday. On the last two trading days, the NEPSE index increased by 27.19 points to close at 2,708.70 points.

The Sensitive Float Index has increased by 4.47 points, while the Float Index has increased by 2.06 points and the Sensitive Float Index has increased by 1.75 points.

Along with NEPSE, the transaction amount has also increased significantly. A total of 3,55,74,000 shares worth Rs 11.58 billion were traded in 108,817 trades on the previous trading day, compared to Rs 7.49 billion on Wednesday.

Shares of 3 companies were traded at positive circuit levels on this day. Share prices of Kalinchowk Darshan, Super Mai Hydropower and Modi Energy reached the positive circuit. Similarly, the share price of Reedi Power Company and Khanikhola Hydropower Company increased by 10 percent while the share price of Ghalemdi Hydropower Company increased by more than 9.5 percent. However, the share price of Super Madi Hydropower fell the most by 10 percent.

On the basis of turnover, Union Hydropower is in the top position. Shares worth Rs 58.77 crore were traded in the company on Thursday. Similarly, shares worth more than Rs 570 million of Radhi Electricity Company and more than Rs 53.5 crore of SY Panel Nepal were traded.

Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 12 sub-groups have increased while the indices of one sub-group have decreased. The indices of other and non-life insurance sub-groups increased the most by 1.98 percent. Similarly, the indices of hydropower, investment and life insurance sub-groups have also increased by more than 1 percent. However, the index of the trading sub-group has decreased.
