Kathmandu. The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index posted a double-digit fall on Thursday. The market fell 1.64 points to 2,681.50 points. Although the market was generally fluctuating in the day’s trading, the transaction amount remained significant.
A total of TAG_OPEN_p_5 1,66,82,626 units of shares of 326 companies were traded today amounting to Rs 7.49 billion. Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of six sub-groups increased while the indices of seven sub-groups decreased.
Share prices of Kalinchowk Darshan Limited, Super Mai Hydropower, Super Madi Hydropower and Ankhukhola Hydropower Limited have posted positive circuit rates of 10 percent each.TAG_OPEN_p_4 On the other hand, HLI Large Cap Fund and Rava Energy were among the biggest losers.
Among the sub-groups, the finance and hydropower groups increased while the banking, microfinance and life insurance groups saw a decline.TAG_OPEN_p_3 Upper Tamakoshi topped the list on the basis of turnover.
