Kathmandu. On Thursday, the last day of weekly share trading, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased slightly. Today, the NEPSE index increased by 1.53 points to close at 2,695.73 points, which is an increase of 0.05 percent.
Today, the sensitive index has decreased by 0.16 percent, the sensitive float index has decreased by 0.04 percent and the float index has increased by 0.05 percent. A total of 1,75,07,776 units of shares of 330 companies were traded today. With this, the total transaction amount reached Rs 8.22 billion. A total of 91,061 times were traded in the market.
Share prices of 114 companies increased and 134 declined. The share prices of 13 companies remained unchanged. Shares of SY Panels, Srinagar Agritech and Himstar Energy were among the top gainers in today’s trade.
The share price of SY Panel reached Rs 2,030.70, while that of Srinagar Agritech reached Rs 1,478.40. Shares of Ankhukhola Hydropower Company Ltd were on the top of the list on the basis of turnover. The company’s shares worth Rs 41.49 crore were traded.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of five sub-groups have increased while the price of seven sub-groups has decreased. The hotel and tourism sub-group index increased the most by 1.77 percent.
